Oh yes.  Took in Bruce and the E Street Band in Charlotte Sunday night.  My first Bruce experience.  Many thanks to Tom, who drove a million miles, and Mel, who offended all the right people.

Taking Patriotism Back!

April 16, 2008

Boy, I bet it’s tough to be a soldier.  Being an illegal alien is probably hard, too.  The soldier defends our country, while the undocumented worker props up our economy!

Doesn’t it seem strange that so many Republicans and Democrats are willing to send our soldiers to die in a neverending war whose beginning was based entirely on “faulty intelligence,” without holding the incompetent leaders who started the war accountable, or even considering a way to end it other than issuing some tripe about “staying the course?”

Doesn’t it also seem weird that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to support draconian immigration policies, so that our nation essentially invites these folks over here with jobs in abundance, and then does everything it can to make their lives miserable while they are here?

If that ain’t a backasswards way to go about running a country, then I don’t know what is!  And if you don’t believe me, then just look at the American Flag Butterfly carrying dogtags in its talons.

“I’m a sparkling American Flag Butterfly clutching dogtags in my talons, and I approved this message.”

Waterboarding Logic…Logic isn’t drowning, it only THINKS it’s drowning…

April 15, 2008

I received this email last weekend.

My first thought was:

“Wow, this doesn’t make any logical sense at all!”

But then I noticed the American Flag Butterfly carrying dogtags in its talons at the bottom of the email, and it all became clear to me.

We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat.
* They risk their lives crossing a border.
* They don’t get paid enough wages.
* They do jobs that others won’t do or are afraid to do.
* They live in crowded conditions among a people who
speak a different language.
*They rarely see their families, and they face adversity
all day every day.

I’m not talking about illegal Mexicans;
I’m talking about our troops!

Doesn’t it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don’t support our troops and are now threatening to defund them?

Please pass this on; this is worth the short time it takes to read it.

Don’t Ask Fiddy

“Don’t look for my vote, for me to determine nothing on that. Just say, ‘50 Cent, he don’t know, so don’t ask Fiddy.”
